For most Mac OS users, when they oven Chivalry: Medeival Warfare, the application will lock up, saying the application is not responding. This guide shows you a simple fix to get the game up and running. This item has been added to your Favorites. Created by. Matthew Last Online 15 hrs, 38 mins ago. Experience Level: Beginner , Intermediate , Advanced. Guide Index. Initial issues. Fix for Game not Launching. Thank you! Even if the game launched, many people have said that the reslution is incorrect, making the game unplayable and off screen.
This guide will hopefully help you fix these issues and get Chivalry up and running well on your Mac!
The first and most drastic problem is the game not responding entirely. The fix for this is suprisingly easy.
In the Library menu of steam, find "Chivalry: Medeival Warfare". Once it is on your screen, right-click the game and a drop down menu should appear. Select "properties" at the bottom of the list. Another window should open up. At the top of the window, there should be a button that says "Betas". Click it, and you should see 2 selection boxes. The top one should say "Select the beta you would like to opt into", with the current selection being "NONE - opt out of all beta programs". Open the menu and select "patch ". A patch for Chivalry should begin downloading. Once finished, launch the game, and after about seconds, the main menu should appear.
Before you give up, try patch 36, as I have had a friend get Chivalry to work with it. If the game does launch for you, or after you have used patch 33, the window resolution may be wrong, rendering the game unplayable. However, in most cases, there is a simple fix for this. In my experience, opening mission control, or pressing the button with 3 rectangles and the word F3 on it on your keyboard, opens up a menu of all the windows you have. It should include Chivalry, steam, and any other open application.
If you click Chivalry, it should adjust the resolution for the size of your display and the game should run find from there on out, even when relaunching it. However, sometimes this is not possible, because the mouse it stuck inside the window.
